So, you wrote this three years ago — almost-, and I am stumbling up with it now haha. I agree with your tips, totally, yet I would add an important feature while keeping up with resolutions: breaking them down.
Sometimes we feel like we need a whole change in our lives — and most of these times we are right, according to your argument about what kind of quality time does the resolution enable — yet since we estabished a HUGE change, we rarely stop and think on how to tackle that change. It’s best to disintegrate the cake into small bread crumbs, which are undeniably easier to eat. (Also we have to consider that to change a habit, for example, is way more difficult than to acquire one. I’ll write about that soon ;)

Anyway, I would like to share this with you: http://austinkleon.com/2016/12/01/get-yourself-a-calendar-2/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+austinkleon+%28AUSTIN+KLEON+-+BLOG%29
I think you are the kind of person that might find it useful, or maybe not and I am totally wrong but at least I made you read this, haha.

Thanks again for this column, I enjoyed it.
